Photos Have (FINALLY – ha!) Been Added

20 05 2008

Okay so.. I created a Flickr account for the club and added our photos from all of the trips we have had. You can find the link on the “photos” page or under the “blogroll” :)

Also – as if it isn’t obvious enough – I changed the design of our website. It’s a new year for the Geo Club and that calls for a new look (I guess) :)

Our River Mountain hike will take place this Saturday at 9:00 A.M. We will meet at the trailhead (directions are posted below). The hike will last about 4 hours round trip and is about 5 miles long. Be sure to bring:

  • Hat, shades, sunscreen
  • Lots of water
  • Lunch (if you wish to eat before you get back into town)
  • Good hiking shoes

If you need help with transporation, please leave a comment on this entry. Here are the directions:

  • Take 95 South into Boulder City
  • The highway will make a sharp, 90 degree turn to the left at a stop light. Continue to follow it, as if you were driving toward the Lake Mead Visitor’s Center
  • Pass the street named Colorado
  • You will see a sign on your left that says “River Mountain Trail” — Turn here!
  • The trailhead (located in a neighborhood) begins between the red and black mountains which are impossible to miss.

We look forward to seeing you there!
