“The UNLV Geoscience Club shall have for its objective the camaraderie among members who are devoted to the pursuit of knowledge in all aspects of Earth Science.”
Established in Spring of 2003, and re-established in Fall of 2007, the UNLV Geoscience Club participates in many different activities. Monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month and these meetings are open to all officers and members. Field trips are also held on a bi-weekly to monthly basis and they take place in the greater Las Vegas area, as well as neighboring states. The trips are designed differently than the traditional trips held for UNLV geology courses. We believe in the pursuit of knowledge but also in the liberty of enjoying and appreciating geology. The UNLV Geoscience Club also participates in activities such as fundraising and donation drives. We strive to expand our horizons each chance we have and look forward to growing in each new semester!
